TERRE HAUTE, Ind. -- Rose-Hulman Institute of Technology was one of just 223 colleges across the country to have both its men's and women's soccer teams earn a National Soccer Coaches Association of America Team Academic Award for the 2015 season, in results released by the national organization.
To earn the award -- which is presented one season behind -- teams must have an average grade point average of 3.0 or higher. A total of 893 teams received the honor.
The 2015 Rose-Hulman men's soccer team reached the NCAA Division III Tournament for the third consecutive year and finished 13-2-6 overall. The 2015 women's soccer squad recorded its fourth straight season with a record of .500 or above by finishing 9-9 overall.
The NSCAA College Team Academic Award winners for 2016 will be announced at this time next year.
