AUBURNDALE, Fla. -- Rose-Hulman Institute of Technology relied on four home runs to power its offense, but Concordia-Moorhead relied on impressive hitting to top the Fightin' Engineers 15-7 in college baseball action on Monday in Florida.
Senior Zach Trusk hit a solo shot, junior Drew Schnitz hit a two-run round tripper, sophomore David Burnside blasted a two-run homer, and junior Zach Donnelly had a solo shot to lead the Rose-Hulman performance.
Sophomore Marcus Wechselberger added a triple and scored on a Conner Shipley sacrifice fly to round out the Rose-Hulman scoring. Schnitz, Trusk, freshman Ryan Stachowski and Donnelly led the Fightin' Engineer offense with two hits each.
Concordia-Moorhead improved to 1-2 on the season with the victory, while Rose-Hulman dropped to 0-2. The Fightin' Engineers return to action on Tuesday at 11:30 a.m. with a matchup against Capital University.
