TERRE HAUTE, Ind. -- The 2018 Rose-Hulman Institute of Technology baseball schedule features 15 home games and the team's annual spring trip to Florida to highlight a slate of 40 competitive contests.
The schedule features a new look for Heartland Collegiate Athletic Conference play, as the conference has approved an 18-game regular season format that also includes five teams in the postseason tournament. The slate features conference home doubleheaders against Earlham (April 4), Transylvania (April 14), Defiance (April 21) and Anderson (May 5).
Other home contests include a home tournament featuring nationally competitive programs in Chicago and Wisconsin-Platteville on March 17-18; and single games against Wooster on April 15, DePauw on April 25 and Wabash on May 6.
On the road, Rose-Hulman will compete in doubleheaders against conference foes Mount St. Joseph (March 31), Manchester (April 7), Hanover (April 10), Franklin (April 17) and Bluffton (April 28). The team's annual Florida Trip takes place February 26-March 2, before the Fightin' Engineers face Oglethorpe University on March 3 in Atlanta.
Rose-Hulman finished 18-24 overall last season and qualified for its fourth straight HCAC Tournament with a 16-11 record. Head coach Jeff Jenkins also won his 700th game at Rose-Hulman in 2017.
