Rose-Hulman Baseball Lends a Hand to Griffin Bike Park

TERRE HAUTE, Ind. -- The Rose-Hulman Institute of Technology baseball team offered its help to the local Griffin Bike Park, in the team's 2017 community service activity held November 4.

A total of 50 hours of service were performed as the players assisted park staff with multiple projects, including loading building materials and transporting, cutting wood and setting in place for construction of a new floating bridge.  Other tasks included checking bikes and performing maintenance or repair in advance of a youth group coming to a ride event, and moving furniture from storage to the new office building on the site.

The Rose-Hulman baseball team has worked with Griffin Bike Park for the last three years.  The team helped  with construction of the slalom course in 2015, and assisted with the Grand Opening Ceremony in 2016.
