Rose-Hulman Baseball Hosts No. 3 Ranked Wooster on Sunday

TERRE HAUTE, Ind. -- The Rose-Hulman Institute of Technology baseball team hosts No. 3 ranked Wooster on Sunday at 1 p.m. in a non-conference matchup.

ROSE-HULMAN NEWS & NOTES:
* Rose-Hulman is batting .285 as a team with 45 doubles in 26 games.  Logan Cody leads the offense with a .386 average (4 2B, 1 3B).
* Other above .300 hitters include Conner Helbling (.351, 5 2B, 1 HR); Ryan Stachowski (.349, 9 2B, 2 HR); Davis Robeson (.337, 8 2B, 2 3B); David Burnside (.329, 5 2B, 1 3B); Luke Buehler (.313); Zach Witonsky (.313, 1 2B); Conner Shipley (.309, 1 2B); and Sean Casey (.300, 1 2B, 2 HR).
* On the mound, Rose-Hulman has a 4.28 ERA with 152 strikeouts in 220.2 innings of work.
* Luke Buehler has a 1.94 ERA in six starts and also has one save.  Buehler has pitched 41.2 innings, allowing just 37 hits and six earned runs with 31 strikeouts.
* Other members of the starting rotation have included Clayton Mayfield (3-2, 2.70); Trever Bruno (2-3, 4.17); Trevor Dallio (0-2, 5.40); and Chuck Alexa (1-1, 5.96).

THE OPPOSITION:
* The College of Wooster Fighting Scots (19-3, 8-0 NCAC) are ranked No. 3 nationally by D3baseball.com in the latest weekly top 25 poll.
* Wooster enters Sunday's contest on a 14-game winning streak, after sweeping Wabash 9-4 and 9-1 on Saturday.
* The Fighting Scots are batting .362 as a team with 73 doubles, 16 triples and 24 home runs in 22 games.
* The pitching staff has a 2.83 ERA and 134 strikeouts in 197 innings of work.
* The team's leading statistical power hitter is Dan Harwood (.449, 9 2B, 1 3B, 8 HR).
