TERRE HAUTE, Ind. -- Rose-Hulman Institute of Technology senior Tyler Duffy has been named to the College Sports Information Directors of America NCAA Division III academic all-district seven squad for his efforts in the classroom and on the court this season.
Duffy advances to the CoSIDA Academic All-America national ballot, with the Academic All-America Team scheduled for release February 11.
Duffy is one of five Rose-Hulman players averaging double figures in scoring at 10.3 points per game this season. He has reached double figures in scoring 13 times this season, highlighted by a career-high 25 points against Wabash on Nov. 24.
Duffy has started 73 games and appeared in 85 as a Fightin' Engineer with 662 points, 312 rebounds, 231 assists and 76 steals in his career.
In the classroom, Duffy has a 3.96 grade point average as a software engineering and economics double major.
Rose-Hulman stands 13-9 on the season and is third in the Heartland Collegiate Athletic Conference standings entering Saturday's game at Manchester. The Fightin' Engineers travel to Anderson next weekend before concluding the regular season at home against Defiance on Feb. 20.
