Four Men's Basketball Players Named to NABC Honors Court

TERRE HAUTE, Ind. -- Four Rose-Hulman Institute of Technology men's basketball players earned spots on the National Association of Basketball Coaches (NABC) Honors Court, in results released on Tuesday.

Senior Chris Schenck, junior Stephen Schueth, junior Kyle Steckel and senior Gary Ulrich captured spots on the team.  NABC Honors Court members are juniors or seniors with grade point averages of 3.20 who appeared in varsity action on the season.

Schenck appeared in seven varsity games with three points and three rebounds, and Ulrich made four appearances with seven points and three steals.  Both started in the team's Senior Day win over Manchester.

Schueth started 23 games and averaged 7.6 points, 3.8 rebounds and 1.8 assists per contest.  He reached double figures in scoring six times, with a season-high 18 points in the regular season finale win at Defiance.

Steckel appeared in 24 games with 10 starts and averaged 2.1 points, 1.2 rebounds and 2.2 assists per contest.  He scored a career-high eight points in a win over Franklin last December.

Rose-Hulman compiled a 14-12 record and qualified for its seventh consecutive Heartland Collegiate Athletic Conference Tournament last winter.  The Fightin' Engineers open the 2017-18 regular season at the University of Chicago Midway Classic on Nov. 17-18.
