TERRE HAUTE, Ind. -- Rose-Hulman Institute of Technology senior Sam Pastoriza has been honored as an All-American Scholar by the Golf Coaches Association of America, in results released by the national organization.
Pastoriza earned a plaque as a member of the Cleveland Golf/Srixon and Golf Coaches Association of America All-America Scholar Team.
In the classroom, Pastoriza is a double major in software engineering and computer science. On the course, he averaged 77.89 strokes per round in 2015-16 to improve his career average to 79.53 strokes per round.
Pastoriza was one of multiple players nominated for the All-American Scholar program by head coach Jon Lester after the 2015-16 season.
Rose-Hulman will compete in the Engineer Cup Intrasquad Event this weekend at Rea Park and the Terre Haute Country Club.
