Men's Golf Places 8th at MSJ Spring Opener

NORTH BEND, Ohio -- Rose-Hulman Institute of Technology placed eighth of 14 teams at the Mount St. Joseph Men's Golf Invitational to open the spring season on Saturday and Sunday.

Andrew Rhine led the Fightin' Engineer performance with a 26th place finish after firing rounds of 78 and 85.  Sam Pastoriza added a 33rd place finish with rounds of 83 and 82.

The duo of Luke Peoples and Warren Whithaus tied for third among Rose-Hulman players and were 46th overall with two-day scoring totals of 169.  Peoples had rounds of 87 and 92, while Whithaus fired scores of 78 and 91. 

Rose-Hulman will host the Little Giant-Engineer Cup Spring Match on Wednesday at Hulman Links Golf Course, in preparation for hosting its annual Invitational at Hulman Links next weekend.
