TERRE HAUTE, Ind. -- Rose-Hulman Institute of Technology placed three players on the National Soccer Coaches Association of America all-region team, in results released on Wednesday.
Kowalkowski was previously named Heartland Collegiate Athletic Conference Defensive Most Valuable Player earlier this season. He scored three goals with two assists in 19 starts. Defensively, the three-year starter anchored a back row that has recorded 11 shutouts.
Lyon scored seven goals with five assists, including two game winning goals, for Rose-Hulman this season. He started 42 games over the past two years and has 19 career goals with 43 points. Lyon was also named HCAC Player of the Week.
Perkins is a two-year starter who has started all 43 games in his Rose-Hulman career. He scored twice this season, both in a draw against NCAA Division III Tournament qualifier Wheaton College. He also had two goals as a freshman last year.
Kowalkowski, Lyon and Turner helped the Fightin' Engineers finish 13-2-6 this season and qualify for its third NCAA Division III Tournament in the past four years. The 2016 season begins with a matchup against Principia College on Sept. 1.
