TERRE HAUTE, Ind. -- The Rose-Hulman Institute of Technology men's soccer team has been ranked No. 18 nationally in the first D3soccer.com National Top 25 Poll, released on Thursday.
The Fightin' Engineers stand a perfect 3-0 on the season. Rose-Hulman knocked off No. 7 preseason ranked Wheaton (Ill.) 1-0 on Saturday at the Engineer Intramural Field for its biggest win so far.
Rose-Hulman also defeated Principia 2-0 last week and topped Greenville 3-0 on Tuesday. The Fightin' Engineers travel to Carroll (Wis.) on Friday night and square off with Milwaukee School of Engineering on Sunday.
Rose-Hulman earned its first in-season national ranking since defeating then No. 1 ranked Ohio Wesleyan in the 2013 NCAA Division III Tournament. The Fightin' Engineers have qualified for three consecutive NCAA Division III Tournaments under head coach Sean Helliwell.
Rose-Hulman returns home next Wednesday to face Wabash College at the Intramural Field.
