Men's Soccer Narrowly Falls to DePauw

TERRE HAUTE, Ind. -- DePauw University scored the lone goal of the match midway through the second half to top Rose-Hulman Institute of Technology 1-0 in men's soccer action on Wednesday night.

Julian Gonzalez scored the game's lone tally at 73:51 as DePauw improved to 4-1-2 on the season.  The evenly matched contest saw a narrow 7-6 edge in shots for DePauw.

Juniors Austin Webb and Turner Perkins led the Rose-Hulman offense with two shots each.  Goalkeepers Michael Lawrence and Carter Wright played 45 minutes each and both had one save defensively.

Rose-Hulman held a 5-2 edge in corner kicks, but Harrison Glover recorded the shutout in goal for the Tigers.

Rose-Hulman stands 4-4 on the season and travels to nationally No. 4 ranked Chicago on Saturday.
