Men's Soccer Defeats Mount St. Joseph 2-0

GREENCASTLE, Ind.-- The Rose-Hulman Fightin' Engineers defeated Mount St. Joseph by a final score of 2-0 on Thursday night at DePauw University.  After heavy rains dumped more than three inches of water in Terre Haute the match between RHIT and MSJ, originally scheduled for Wednesday October 19, was played at Reavis Field on the campus of DePauw University.

With just 39 seconds left in the first half, Dieter Schultz launched a free kick from 30 yards out that sailed just over the reach of Mount St. Joseph goalie Cody Kappes for the first goal of the game. RHIT led 1-0 heading into halftime.

In the second half Will McGowen netted a header off of a corner kick from Schultz in the 50th minute.

The win was the sixth consecutive victory for the Fightin' Engineers who improved to 10-5 overall and 6-0 in HCAC play.

Their next match will be on Saturday October 22 at 3:30 p.m. against Bluffton.  It will be Senior Day.
