TERRE HAUTE, Ind. -- Rose-Hulman Institute of Technology scored three second half goals to top Franklin College 4-0 and improved to 8-0 in Heartland Collegiate Athletic Conference men's soccer action this season on a rainy Wednesday night at the Engineer Intramural Field.
Junior Austin Webb scored two second half goals, and the Fightin' Engineers scored two goals exactly one minute apart to spark the win.
In the second half, Webb scored in the 52nd minute on a pass from Dieter Schultz. Rose-Hulman pushed the lead to 4-0 with two goals in a one-minute span. Trevor Bednarek scored unassisted at 77:35, before Webb finished the scoring with a goal at 78:35 on a pass from Lucas Kesterson.
Rose-Hulman travels to Hanover College (7-1 HCAC) on Saturday in a matchup for the HCAC regular season title.
