Men's Tennis Tops Adrian, Falls to DII Power

ORLANDO, Fla. -- Rose-Hulman Institute of Technology stands 6-2 overall after splitting two matches against Adrian and NCAA Division II power Palm Beach Atlantic on Wednesday in Florida.

Rose-Hulman defeated Adrian 7-2, before falling to the No. 46 ranked Division II squad 9-0 in the nightcap.

Against Adrian, the Fightin' Engineers won at the top five singles positions and the top two doubles positions to secure their fourth win in 28 hours.  Adrian entered the match with a 5-2 overall record and a strong start to its 2017 season.

Singles winners included Georges Adam, Brandon Benedict, Cam Metzger, Andre Adam and Austin Perry.  The doubles winners included Georges Adam and Benedict; along with Metzger and Andre Adam.

Rose-Hulman returns to the court to face Milwaukee School of Engineering on Thursday in Orlando.  The spring trip concludes with a trip to Florida Tech late Thursday afternoon.
