Brandon Benedict Named HCAC Player of the Week

TERRE HAUTE, Ind. -- Rose-Hulman Institute of Technology senior Brandon Benedict has been named Heartland Collegiate Athletic Conference Men's Tennis Player of the Week for his efforts during the Fightin' Engineers 7-3 team record so far this season.

Benedict has helped Rose-Hulman achieve a 7-1 record against NCAA Division III foes so far this spring with only a loss to No. 8 ranked Case Western Reserve.  His overall record in singles play is a team-best 8-2, and Benedict has combined for a 7-3 doubles mark with Georges Adam.

Benedict has established new career school records for doubles wins (60) and total victories (116) at Rose-Hulman so far in 2017.  His career records stand at 60-25 in doubles play and 56-24 in singles play.

Rose-Hulman puts its 7-3 mark on the line against nationally ranked DePauw on Saturday at noon in Greencastle.
