TERRE HAUTE, Ind. -- Rose-Hulman Institute of Technology senior Georges Adam was named Heartland Collegiate Athletic Conference Men's Tennis Player of the Week for his efforts against nationally ranked DePauw on Saturday.
Adam provided Rose-Hulman with both of its points in a 7-2 loss to No. 36 ranked DePauw. He picked up victories at No. 2 singles and while teaming with Brandon Benedict at No. 1 doubles for wins.
Adam improved his career record to 60-24 in doubles play and 50-23 in singles matches at Rose-Hulman. He currently ranks No. 6 in school history in singles wins (50), No. 2 in doubles wins (60) and No. 2 in total combined wins (110) in the Rose-Hulman career record book.
Adam is a three-time first-team all-Heartland Collegiate Athletic Conference honoree in his career and is a member of two HCAC Tournament championship and NCAA Tournament qualifying teams. The Fightin' Engineers stand 7-4 this season and return to action on Saturday with matches at Wabash and Franklin.
