Men's Tennis Moves to 9-5 with Shutout of Transy

TERRE HAUTE, Ind. -- Rose-Hulman Institute of Technology improved to 9-5 overall and 2-0 in Heartland Collegiate Athletic Conference men's tennis action with a 9-0 shutout victory over Transylvania University on Saturday at the Joy Hulbert Tennis Center.

The Fightin' Engineers won all five matches without dropping a set against a shorthanded Pioneers squad.  Doubles winners included the teams of Georges Adam and Brandon Benedict, along with Joe Kendall and Austin Perry.

In singles action, Adam and Benedict won at the No. 1 and No. 2 positions.  Cam Metzger, Andre Adam and Brendan Goldacker also picked up victories at the No. 3, No. 4 and No. 5 spots.

Rose-Hulman returns to action with matches against NCAA Division III Wooster and NCAA Division I Wright State on Sunday in Ohio.
