Men's Tennis Earns Fifth Straight HCAC Shutout Win

TERRE HAUTE, Ind. -- Rose-Hulman Institute of Technology improved to 13-7 overall and 5-0 in Heartland Collegiate Athletic Conference men's tennis action with a 9-0 shutout victory at Manchester University on Friday afternoon.

The Fightin' Engineers won all nine matches without dropping a set against the Spartans, marking its fifth straight 9-0 win in conference play.  

Doubles winners included the teams of Georges Adam and Brandon Benedict at No. 1, Cam Metzger and Andre Adam at No. 2, and Austin Perry with Joe Kendall at No. 3.

In singles action, Adam and Benedict won at the No. 1 and No. 2 positions.  Metzger, Adam and Perryearned victories at No. 3, No. 4 and No. 5, while Andrew Schiffman picked up a victory at No.6.

Rose-Hulman returns to action with matches against conference foe Mount St. Joseph and NAIA foe Indiana University-East on Saturday.
