Men's Tennis Sweeps MSJ, IU-East; Improves to 15-7

RICHMOND, Ind. -- Rose-Hulman Institute of Technology improved to 15-7 on the season with 9-0 victories at Mount St. Joseph and Indiana University-East on Saturday.

Rose-Hulman also improved to a perfect 6-0 in HCAC play with the win at Mount St. Joseph, marking the team's sixth straight 9-0 victory in league play.

Against Mount St. Joseph, doubles winners included the teams of Georges Adam and Brandon Benedict at No. 1, Cam Metzger and Andre Adam at No. 2, and Joe Kendall with Jacob Pluta at No. 3.

In singles action, Georges Adam, Benedict, Andre Adam won at the top three positions.  Austin Perry, Andrew Schiffman and Kendall helped the Fightin' Engineers complete the sweep with straight set wins at the No. 4, No. 5 and No. 6 spots.

Later in the day, Rose-Hulman traveled to IU-East and again won all nine matches in straight sets.  Georges Adam, Benedict, Metzger, Andre Adam, Schiffman and Pluta won in singles play.  The doubles teams of Georges Adam and Benedict; Andre Adam and Metzger; and Perry and Kendall also captured victories.

Rose-Hulman returns to action at Defiance College on Saturday April 22.  The match is the first of a doubleheader that also includes a contest against Oho Wesleyan University later in the day.
