TERRE HAUTE, IND. -- The Rose-Hulman Institute of Technology men's tennis team earned Intercollegiate Tennis Association All-Academic Team recognition, in results released by the national organization.
The Fightin' Engineers were honored for compiling a team grade point average of 3.38 during the 2016-17 season. Rose-Hulman won its first NCAA Division III Tournament match in program history, defeating Wheaton (Ill.) to advance to the Round of 32 last May. The team also tied a single-season record with 20 victories and swept the Heartland Collegiate Athletic Conference regular season and tournament championships.
Five individuals also received individual All-Academic recognition from the ITA. Georges Adam, Brendan Goldacker, Joe Kendall, Cam Metzger and Ben Strate were honored for achieving greater than a 3.50 grade point average and being members of the varsity team.
