Men's Cross Country 5th at Intercollegiates

BLOOMINGTON, Ind. -- Rose-Hulman Institute of Technology relied on two top 20 performances to place fifth at the Indiana Intercollegiate Championships on Friday at Indiana University.

Junior Alton Anspaugh recorded a top-five performance with a time of 26:58 to finish fifth in the Little State competition.  Junior Matt Hill came home 19th in a time of 27:45.

Other contributors to Rose-Hulman's team score included sophomore Sean Sullivan in 35th with a time of 28:30; junior Walt Dearing in 37th with a time of 28:32; and junior Jonathan Hall in 50th with a time of 28:50.

Rose-Hulman scored 146 points to outdistance four Heartland Collegiate Athletic Conference and finish third among NCAA Division III teams.

The Fightin' Engineers return to action at the Rose-Hulman/DePauw Invitational on Friday at the Lavern Gibson Championship Course.
