Men's Cross Country Heads to Principia Saturday

TERRE HAUTE, Ind. -- The Rose-Hulman Institute of Technology men's cross country team hits the road for the Principia Cowbell Invitational on Saturday at Elsah, Ill.

Rose-Hulman individuals have combined for three top-five finishes in meets so far this season.  Matt Hill won the Rose-Hulman/DePauw Dual with a time of 27:07.  Alton Anspaugh finished fourth in the Rose-Hulman/DePauw Dual and fifth at the Indiana Intercollegiate Championships in two strong performances.

Both Hill and Anspaugh have been named Heartland Collegiate Athletic Conference Runners of the Week for their efforts this season.

The Fightin' Engineers, the preseason league coaches poll favorite in the Heartland Collegiate Athletic Conference, have also had five runners under the 29-minute threshold for eight kilometers so far this season.

After Saturday's action, Rose-Hulman will travel to the University of Evansville Invitational on Oct. 15.
