Men's Cross Country 3rd at Principia Invitational

ELSAH, Ill. -- Rose-Hulman Institute of Technology placed 12 runners in the top 60 to record a third-place finish at the Principia College Cowbell Invitational on Saturday morning.

Junior Alton Anspaugh led the performance with a sixth place finish in a time of 25:48.  Matt Hill added a top 10 finish by coming home ninth in 25:52.

Anspaugh's time ranks No. 16 in Rose-Hulman school history and also marked his career-best eight-kilometer mark in competition.

Walt Dearing finished third among Rose-Hulman runners with a mark of 27:06. Kennedy Schnieders contributed a 30th place with a time of 27:36, with Brendon Mattiuz placing 31st in 27:39.

Rose-Hulman returns to action at the University of Evansville Invitational on Oct. 15.
