Matt Hill Earns NCAA All-Region Honors

HOLLAND, Mich. -- Rose-Hulman men's cross country runner Matt Hill earned NCAA All-Region Honors Saturday afternoon at the 2016 NCAA Division III Great Lakes Region Cross Country Championships.  

The Rose-Hulman men's cross country team competed against 35 other institutions and placed 16th.

Matt Hill led Rose-Hulman and crossed the finish line with a time of 25:40.5; good enough for a 33rd overall place.  For his efforts, Hill earned NCAA All-Region Honors.  Hill was named HCAC Runner of the Week one time this season back on September 26.  He also was named to the HCAC All-Conference team in October. 

Alton Anspaugh was right behind Hill with 38th place finish and a time of 25:49.7.  Walt Dearing finished the race with a time of 26:35.6; good for an 85th place finish.  Kennedy Schnieders and Brendon Mattiuz finished with times of 27:18.5 and 17:36.9.  Matthew Stevenot rounded out the Rose efforts with time of 27:38.4
