TERRE HAUTE, Ind. -- Rose-Hulman Institute of Technology returns to men's cross country action on Friday at the Indiana Intercollegiate Championships, hosted by Purdue University.

* Rose-Hulman won the John McNichols Invitational "Small Division" competition to open the 2017 season last weekend at the LaVern Gibson Championship Course.
* Matthew Stevenot was second (26:43), Kennedy Schnieders was third (26:48) and Alton Anspaugh was fourth (26:51) to lead the team to its victory.
* Rose-Hulman has been picked as the preseason favorites to win the HCAC this season, in a preseason league coaches poll.
* Rose-Hulman placed fifth at the 2016 Indiana Intercollegiate Championships.
* After Saturday's meet, Rose-Hulman returns to action on Sept. 29 at the H.W. Wright Classic hosted by Millikin University.
