Rose-Hulman Softball Drops a Pair at Mount St. Joseph

CINCINNATI, Ohio - The Rose-Hulman softball team fell twice on Friday afternoon at Mount St. Joseph.  

Game 1 - Mt. St. Joseph 2, Rose-Hulman 0

Rose-Hulman was shutout in the first game of the day against the Lions.  Rose was limited to just two hits by opposing pitcher Sarah Miller.

Maddie Struble continued her hot play.  She had both of RHIT's hits, going 2-3.  Stuble is hitting .391 this season and over the past seven games she has gone 12-24 with two doubles and seven RBI.

Michelle Korf pitched six solid innings, allowing two runs on six hits. 

Game 2 - Mt. St. Joseph 1, Rose-Hulman 0

The Rose-Hulman bats were once again held in check in the second game of the day.  The MSJ pitching duo of Sarah Miller and Brianna Kauf combined for a one-hitter.  

Jessica Will went 1-2 with a double and a walk.  Alexis Price had one of her strongest outings of the season, allowing just one run while scattering six hits over six innings of work.

Rose is scheduled to play again on Sunday April 15.  The Fightin' Engineers will travel to Eureka for a doubleheader that is slated to begin at 1 p.m. CT.
