TERRE HAUTE, Ind. -- Rose-Hulman Institute of Technology has been ranked No. 23 nationally in both NCAA Division III Top 25 polls through the midway point of the 2016-17 men's swimming season.
Rose-Hulman stands No. 23 in the current collegeswimming.com rankings list Rose-Hulman with 643.24 points. The Fightin' Engineers are also the top ranked team in the College Conference of Illinois and Wisconsin this week.
Rose-Hulman is also ranked No. 23 nationally in the latest College Swimming Coaches Association of America initial in-season poll released on Wednesday. The Fightin' Engineers received 23 poll points and are also ranked sixth in the Central Region rankings.
Rose-Hulman received significant team notice by defeating No. 11 ranked DePauw at the Sports and Recreation Center on Friday night. DePauw remains nationally ranked at No. 22 in the latest CSCAA Top 25 poll.
The Fightin' Engineer men and women return to competition on Saturday with a trip to the Heartland Collegiate Athletic Conference Invitational at Franklin Community High School. The meet will serve as the swimming and diving programs contribution to the HCAC All-Sports Trophy and Commissioner's Cup standings this season. Action begins at 1 p.m. featuring Rose-Hulman, Anderson, Franklin, Manchester and Transylvania.
