TERRE HAUTE, IND. -- The Rose-Hulman Institute of Technology men's and women's swimming and diving teams earned All-Academic honors from the College Swimming Coaches Association of America, in results released today.
Senior Ellie Hong also captured first-team Individual Scholar All-America honors for having a grade point average higher than 3.50 grade point average for the year and competing in the NCAA Division III National Championships.
The men's swimming and diving team combined for a 3.16 team grade point average this season, and the women's squad compiled a grade point average of 3.28 to earn Scholar All-Academic Team recognition.
CSCAA Executive Director Joel Shinofield cited Rose-Hulman's success, noting: "Coach Keith Crawford and Rose-Hulman might be moving to a new conference next year, but they remain models of academic excellence." He added, "We are very fortunate to have schools like Rose-Hulman and people like President Conwell and Director of Athletics Jenkins who support these exceptional student-athletes."
Rose-Hulman begins the 2017-18 swimming and diving season at the Indiana Intercollegiate Meet at Purdue University on Oct. 21.
