TERRE HAUTE, Ind. -- Rose-Hulman Institute of Technology juniors Josh Hennig and Jaclyn Setina have been named Heartland Collegiate Athletic Conference Track & Field Athletes of the Week for their efforts in Saturday's Eastern Illinois University Invitational.
Hennig was named HCAC Men's Track Athlete of the Week, while Setina captured the HCAC Women's Field Athlete of the Week award.
Hennig ran a career-best time in the 400-meter dash that ranks No. 13 in NCAA Division III during the Eastern Illinois Invitational on Saturday. Hennig ran a time of 48.98 seconds to place fifth against a primarily NCAA Division I field. His mark also ranks No. 1 in the NCAA Division III Great Lakes Region so far this season.
Setina recorded an outdoor career-best high jump mark of 5' 6" that ranks No. 4 nationally in NCAA Division III this season at Eastern Illinois University on Saturday. She placed third overall in the event against primarily NCAA Division I competition after qualifying for the NCAA Division III Indoor Track and Field National Championships last winter.
Rose-Hulman will travel to Greencastle for the next two weekends of competition. The Fightin' Engineers will compete in the DePauw Invitational on Saturday, then will again compete in Greencastle at the Indiana Division III Championships on April 15.
