Five Fightin' Engineer Track & Field Standouts Named All-Region

TERRE HAUTE, Ind. -- Rose-Hulman Institute of Technology placed five track and field standouts on the United States Track and Field and Cross Country Coaches Association NCAA Division III indoor all-region team, in results released by the national organization.

Three women's athletes and two men's performances reached all-region status.  The all-region team is made up of the top five performances over the season as achieved by the over 40 colleges and universities in the NCAA Division III Great Lakes Region.

Men's all-region honorees included Josh Himes in the shot put (52' 10 1/4" at Anderson); and Nick Palmer in the pole vault (15' 7" at the HCAC Indoor Championship).

On the women's side, Jaclyn Setina will compete in the NCAA Division III Indoor National Championships this Saturday after recording a high jump of 5' 5 3/4" at the Engineer Invitational that ranks No. 16 nationally.  Other all-region honorees included Lauren London in the 60-meter hurdles (9.21 at the HCAC Indoor Championship) and Gabi Razma in the triple jump (36' 1 1/4" at the HCAC Indoor Championship).

The outdoor season begins with the Rose-Hulman Early Bird Invitational on March 17 at the William Welch Track and Field Complex.
