TERRE HAUTE, Ind. - Rose-Hulman Institute of Technology junior forward Ally Bromenschenkel was named Heartland Collegiate Athletic Conference Player of the Week on Monday January 8.
Bromenschenkel recorded two double-doubles while averaging 14.5 points and 11.5 rebounds per game as Rose-Hulman defeated Hanover and Earlham last week. Bromenschenkel scored 16 points with 10 rebounds, five blocked shots and three assists against Hanover, then tallied 13 points and 13 rebounds at Earlham. She shot 46% from the field and 70% on the free throw line for the week.
On the year, Bromenschenkel leads Rose-Hulman in both scoring and rebounding with 14.3 ppg and 8.6 rpg. She is shooting 56.8% from the field.
Bromenscnhenkel is the second Rose-Hulman women's basketball player to earn Player of the Week honors so far this season, joining junior Chiarra Franklin.
Rose-Hulman improved to 10-3 overall, 6-0 in HCAC play and is on an eight-game winning streak without a loss since November.
