Women's Golf Finishes 2nd at HCAC Championships

TERRE HAUTE, Ind. -- Rose-Hulman Institute of Technology placed second in the Heartland Collegiate Athletic Conference Women's Golf Championships, held Saturday and Sunday at Hulman Links Golf Course.

Rose-Hulman recorded a team score of 705 to finish second overall, behind the winning score of Hanover College at 693.  Franklin came in third at 707.

Freshman Rebecca Su and junior Ashton Foushee earned all-conference honors to lead Rose-Hulman's individual performances.  Su finished sixth overall with rounds of 87 and 87, with Foushee earning her third career all-conference award with rounds of 87 and 88.

Senior Taylor King came home 10th individually with rounds of 88 and 89, with freshman Namuunaa Nadmid finishing 12th at 95 and 84.  Freshman Emily Smith came home 25th with rounds of 103 and 95 to round out the Engineer performance.

Hanover won the championship with three all-conference performances, four top-10 efforts and the HCAC Freshman of the Year in the team's top finisher Allison Goodwin in third place (85-84). 

Meredith Moir of Transylvania captured the HCAC Most Valuable Player award with scores of 78 and 87.  Jenna Soderling of Transylvania finished second with rounds of 87 and 81.
