Women's Golf Opens Spring Schedule This Weekend

TERRE HAUTE, Ind. -- The Rose-Hulman Institute of Technology women's golf team will open its spring schedule with a trip to the Franklin College Lady Grizzly Spring Invitational on Saturday and Sunday at the Hillview Country Club.

Rose-Hulman enjoyed a strong fall season that included second-place finishes at the Heartland Collegiate Athletic Conference championships and the Franklin Fall Invitational.  Rebecca Su and Aston Foushee led the Fightin' Engineers with all-conference performances in the fall, coming home sixth and seventh at the HCAC Championships.

Su leads the team in scoring average at 84.1 strokes per round, followed by Foushee at 85.4.  Namuunaa Nadmid (85.6) and Taylor King (87.9) were also below 90 strokes per round in the fall season.

Rose-Hulman will compete in this 36-hole event and also travel to the one-day Transylvania Spring Invitational on April 29 to complete the spring 2017 portion of its schedule.
