Women's Golf Places 4th at HCAC Preview

LEXINGTON, Ky. -- Rose-Hulman Institute of Technology placed second among Heartland Collegiate Athletic Conference schools and fourth overall at the HCAC Preview hosted by Transylvania University on Saturday and Sunday.

Ashton Foushee led the Rose-Hulman effort with rounds of 78 and 83 to place eighth overall.  Rebecca Su (81-81) and Emily Smith (78-84) were just one shot behind Foushee and were ninth overall for the 36-hole event.

The Fightin' Engineer performance also included Caitlin Coverstone with scores of 82 and 82; Lauren Conley with rounds of 89 and 80; and Namuunaa Nadmid with scores of 87 and 90.

Texas-Dallas took the top team honors, followed by Centre College.  Transylvania narrowly edged the Engineers for third place.  Keene Run Golf Course in Lexington will serve as the HCAC championship site Oct. 14-15.

Rose-Hulman returns to the course next weekend at the Millikin University Invitational.
