BLUFFTON, OHIO -- The Rose-Hulman women's soccer team was defeated for the first time in the month of October by Bluffton Saturday afternoon by a final score of 1-0.
The Fightin' Engineers out shot the Beavers 24-8 but were unable to find the back of the net. Maggie Sheerin led Rose-Hulman with four shots, three of which were on goal. Four different Engineers fired three shots in the match.
Bluffton scored the lone goal of the match in the 63rd minute when Brittnay Huff connected on her third goal of the season. The Bluffton keeper, Jules Frazier, collected 14 saves in the match.
Rose-Hulman fell to 7-8-1, 4-2-1 HCAC. The Fightin' Engineers will return to action on Wednesday October 25th against Franklin College. Kickoff from Intramural Field is set for 7:30 p.m.
