Women's Tennis Team Earns ITA Academic Award

TERRE HAUTE, IND. -- The Rose-Hulman Institute of Technology women's tennis team earned Intercollegiate Tennis Association All-Academic Team recognition, in results released by the national organization.

The Fightin' Engineers were honored for compiling a team grade point average of 3.26 during the 2012-13 season.  Rose-Hulman finished second in both the Heartland Collegiate Athletic Conference regular season and conference tournament standings.

Three individuals also received individual All-Academic recognition from the ITA.  Lauren Miller (Highland, Ill.), Melissa Montgomery (Alexandria/Monroe) and Marie Stettler (Edgerton, Wis./Senior) earned individual academic honors for completing the season with grade point averages above 3.50 and earning a varsity letter.

Rose-Hulman opens the 2013 season with an HCAC matchup at Defiance College on Sept. 14.
