Women's Tennis Tops Manchester 8-1, Moves to 3-3

NORTH MANCHESTER, Ind. -- Rose-Hulman Institute of Technology completed a 2-0 weekend in women's tennis with an 8-1 victory at Manchester University on Sunday afternoon.

The Fightin' Engineers improved to 3-3 on the season and 2-2 in conference play with the win.  Rose-Hulman previously topped Mount St. Joseph 9-0 on Saturday.

Sophomore Bella Evans and freshman Linde Schaffer led the Rose-Hulman performance by winning at the top two singles flights and the No. 1 doubles position.

Senior Lauren Miller and junior Lauren Edwards won at the No. 3 and No. 4 singles positions.  Junior Becca Stanley and junior Sydney Short earned a victory at the No. 3 doubles spot, and Short added the final point of the day with a victory at the No. 6 singles flight.

Rose-Hulman returns to action with a home matchup against Anderson University on Wednesday night.
