Anderson Women's Tennis Wins Marathon at RHIT

TERRE HAUTE, Ind. -- Anderson University earned a narrow 5-4 victory over Rose-Hulman Institute of Technology in a women's tennis battle that lasted over four hours at the Joy Hulbert Tennis Center on Wednesday night.

Anderson won two-of-three doubles matches, and the teams split the six singles matches on the evening.  Rose-Hulman earned its doubles win at the No. 2 spot, as Lauren Miller and Lauren Edwards won an 8-6 decision.

In singles play, Rose-Hulman winners included Bella Evans at the No. 1 position; Edwards at the No. 4 spot; and Becca Stanley in a three-set match at the No. 5 position.

Anderson improved to 2-3 and 2-1 in HCAC play, while Rose-Hulman stands 3-4 and 2-3 in conference matches.  The Fightin' Engineers return to action at Defiance College on Saturday.
