Volleyball Falls Twice to Close Wash. U. Invite

ST. LOUIS, MO. -- Rose-Hulman Institute of Technology concluded the Washington University Invitational with three-set losses to DePauw and the nationally ranked host Bears on Saturday.

DePauw topped Rose-Hulman 25-14, 25-17, 25-13 in the opener.  Adekite Oladipupo led the Rose-Hulman offense with seven kills and added six digs.  Katie Orbeta and Alison Rogozinski added 10 assists each, while Gabi Razma led the team with 14 digs.  Bailey MacInnis had the lone service ace.

Washington University battled through the Engineers 25-21, 25-16, 25-21.  Becca Poppel joined MacInnis with seven kills each.  Rogozinski had 13 assists, while Razma led the squad with 18 digs.  Poppel also reached double figures with 12 digs.  Mackenzie Gossard paced the squad with four total blocks.

Rose-Hulman stands 0-4 overall and returns to action next weekend at the Illinois Wesleyan University Invitational.
