Volleyball Improves to 2-0 in HCAC with MSJ Win

CINCINNATI, Ohio -- Rose-Hulman Institute of Technology improved to 2-0 in Heartland Collegiate Athletic Conference volleyball action with a 26-24, 25-21, 25-22 win at Mount St. Joseph on Sunday afternoon.

Freshman Mia Styczynski and sophomore Bailey MacInnis led the Rose-Hulman offense with 10 kills each.  Sophomore Julia Hammond added nine kills, a team-high 17 digs and three block assists.

Senior Emily McLendon led a strong blocking performance with seven block assists.  Styczynski also contributed four block assists to the front row effort.

Junior Alison Rogozinski and freshman Katie Orbeta led a balanced assist performance with 17 and 16, respectively.  

Junior Gabi Razma added a team-high two service aces and 15 digs to the Fightin' Engineer effort.

Rose-Hulman improved to 8-10 overall and 2-0 in HCAC play with their second straight road victory.  The Fightin' Engineers have won their first six sets in conference play and host Franklin on Wednesday.  Mount St. Joseph dropped to 8-10 and 0-3 in league matches.
