Volleyball Falls in Four Sets at Greenville

TERRE HAUTE, Ind. -- Despite a career-best kills performance from sophomore Bailey MacInnis, Greenville College topped Rose-Hulman Institute of Technology in a tight four-set match on Wednesday night.

MacInnis recorded a career-high 23 kills and hit at a .366 percentage to lead Rose-Hulman's performance in a 25-21, 25-21, 22-25, 25-19 loss at Greenvuille.  She also added nine digs and three service aces.

Junior Becca Poppel and senior Emily McLendon pitched in with seven kills each.  Freshman Katie Orbeta recorded 26 assists, and junior Alison Rogozinski contributed 19 assists.

Defensively, junior Gabi Razma tallied 28 digs to lead the Fightin' Engineers.  Rogozinski had 14 digs and Poppel reached double figures with 11.

Allyson Mitchell had a team-high 18 kills for Greenville, and Kirsten Laune recorded a team-high 45 assists.

Rose-Hulman dropped to 10-13, while Greenville improved to 17-5.  The Fightin' Engineers are 3-0 in Heartland Collegiate Athletic Conference play and travel to Hanover College on Saturday for a pair of matches.
