TERRE HAUTE, Ind. -- The Rose-Hulman Institute of Technology volleyball team moved to 4-1 in Heartland Collegiate Athletic Conference play with a 25-14, 25-23, 25-21 victory over Earlham College on Tuesday night.
A balanced Rose-Hulman offensive attack featured Marissa Gollnick, Julia Hammond and Bailey MacInnis with seven kills each. Junior Alison Rogozinski had a team-high 14 assists and freshman Katie Orbeta added 12.
Defensively, junior Gabi Razma contributed a team-high 18 digs. Orbeta tallied 11 and Hammond recorded 10 digs in the contest. Junior Mackenzie Gossard led the blocking performance with one solo and two assists. Gollnick and Gossard had two service aces each.
Rose-Hulman improved to 12-14 overall and 4-1 in HCAC play, while Earlham dropped to 4-22 and 0-7. The Fightin' Engineers return to action on Saturday with another league game at Defiance College.
