Volleyball Falls in Four at Defiance

DEFIANCE, Ohio -- Rose-Hulman Institute of Technology attempted a rally after falling in the first two sets, before dropping a 25-15, 25-22, 20-25, 25-20 decision to Defiance College on Saturday afternoon in Ohio.

Sophomore Bailey MacInnis led the Rose-Hulman offense with 14 kills.  Sophomore Julia Hammond contributed a double-double with 11 kills and 15 digs.

The offense included Katie Orbeta with 19 assists and Alison Rogozinski with 17.  Junior Gabi Razma added 26 digs and senior Emily McLendon led the team with four total blocks.

Rose-Hulman stands 12-15 overall and 4-2 in HCAC play, while Defiance improved to 8-12 and 4-2.  The Fightin' Engineers travel to Bluffton University in another league match on Sunday.
