Volleyball Falls to HCAC Unbeaten Bluffton

BLUFFTON, Ohio -- Bluffton University improved to 7-0 in Heartland Collegiate Athletic Conference volleyball action with a 25-22, 25-17, 25-17 victory over Rose-Hulman Institute of Technology on Sunday afternoon.

Sophomore Julia Hammond led the Rose-Hulman offensive performance with 12 kills.  Sophomore Marissa Gollnick added seven kills.  Freshman Katie Orbeta led the assist effort with 14 and added 10 digs, while junior Alison Rogozinski pitched in with 10 assists.

Defensively, junior Gabi Razma had a team-high 19 digs.  Hammond contributed 13 digs, Adekite Oladipupo had 11 and Orbeta tallied 10.  Junior Mackenzie Gossard led the front row blocking performance with five block assists.

Bluffton improved to 20-7 and 7-0 in league play, while Rose-Hulman stands 12-16 and 4-3.  The Fightin' Engineers host Anderson University in the Senior Night match on Wednesday at Hulbert Arena.
