TERRE HAUTE, Ind. -- Rose-Hulman Institute of Technology sophomore Bailey MacInnis and junior Gabi Razma captured spots on the CoSIDA NCAA Division III Academic All-District VII Volleyball Team, in results released today by the College Sports Information Directors of America.
MacInnis and Razma will advance to the NCAA Division III Academic All-America ballot, with the national team scheduled for release on Tuesday Dec. 6. More than 120 nominations were cast with MacInnis and Razma joining a team of just six honorees.
MacInnis leads the Fightin' Engineers with 271 kills (2.91 per set) and a .218 hitting percentage. She also ranks among team leaders with 15 service aces and 52 total blocks.
In the classroom, MacInnis carries a 4.00 grade point average as a biomedical engineering major.
Razma ranks second in Rose-Hulman history with 1,964 career digs and leads the Heartland Collegiate Athletic Conference with 592 (5.69 per set) this season. She has added 61 assists and 21 service aces to the Fightin' Engineer attack in 2016.
In the classroom, Razma carries a 3.97 grade point average as a biomedical engineering major. She has also earned academic all-district honors in track and field, with a career so far featuring six individual conference championships and 14 top-five finishes.
Rose-Hulman (15-16) has advanced to the Heartland Collegiate Athletic Conference Tournament semifinal round. The Fightin' Engineers will face No. 2 seeded Bluffton University in a match at top-seeded Hanover on Saturday at 5 p.m.
