TERRE HAUTE, Ind. -- Rose-Hulman Institute of Technology snapped the six-game winning streak of Manchester University with a 25-15, 25-19, 25-15 victory in the Heartland Collegiate Athletic Conference volleyball opener on Wednesday night at Hulbert Arena.
Defensively, the front row blocking proved key as Rose-Hulman had three solo blocks and 12 block assists. Mackenzie Gossard had five block assists, and Bailey MacInnis recorded two solo blocks and two assists to lead the effort. Razma added a team-high 16 digs.
Rose-Hulman improved to 11-8 on the season and 1-0 in league play, while Manchester dropped to 8-5 and 1-1 in conference games. The Fightin' Engineers hit the road for Transylvania University on Saturday afternoon.
