Volleyball Clinches First Winning Season Since 2012

ADA, Ohio -- The Rose-Hulman Institute of Technology volleyball team clinched its first winning season since 2012 with a 25-13, 25-18, 25-17 victory over John Carroll University on Saturday afternoon at Ohio Northern University.

Despite facing perhaps the most challenging non-conference schedule in program history, featuring six matchups against nationally ranked teams, Rose-Hulman improved to 16-10 on the season with the victory.

Grace Beach led a balanced offense attack with nine kills.  Mia Styczynski and Mackenzie Gossard added eight kills each.  Katie Orbeta had 25 assists, with Alison Rogozinski contributing 13. 

Gabi Razma and Katryna Dahlberg led the defense with nine digs.  Gossard led the front row with one solo block and three block assists.  Maria Bruner also had three total blocks.

Rose-Hulman stands 16-10 overall and 4-1 in Heartland Collegiate Athletic Conference play this season.  The Fightin' Engineers host Mount St. Joseph in another league matchup on Wednesday night.
