TERRE HAUTE, Ind. -- The Rose-Hulman Institute of Technology women's cross country team has been picked to finish fifth in the Heartland Collegiate Athletic Conference this season, in the preseason coaches poll released on Monday.
Rose-Hulman received 63 poll points to place fifth among the 10 teams in the preseason coaches poll. Manchester is the favorite with eight first-place votes, followed by Bluffton, Hanover and Franklin.
The Fightin' Engineer roster includes 10 returnees and four newcomers in the upcoming season. Junior Camille Blaisdell led Rose-Hulman's 2015 league championship performance with a 16th place individual finish.
The 2016 season begins on Sept. 16 with a trip to the Indiana Intercollegiate Championships. Rose-Hulman will host action at the La Vern Gibson Championship Course on Sept. 23.
