Women's Cross Country Heads to Principia Saturday

TERRE HAUTE, Ind. -- Rose-Hulman Institute of Technology hits the road for the Principia Cowbell Invitational on Saturday at Elsah, Ill.

The Fightin' Engineers compete for the third time in 2016 on Saturday, after two strong performances to open the season.  Rose-Hulman placed seventh in the Indiana Intercollegiate Championships, led by a 15th place individual finish by Mary Petersen.

The squad also ran well against DePauw, as Petersen recorded a third-place finish to lead the effort.  Five different runners have completed the 5K distance in under 22 minutes, and eight different runners have recorded 6K times under 29 minutes this season.

After Saturday's meet, the Fightin' Engineers return to action at the University of Evansville Invitational on Oct. 15.
